Daymax ("Daymax", "we", "us", or "our") helps users create alarms and complete wake-up missions, including photo-based challenges.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Daymax or visit daymaxapp.com.

Information We Collect

When you use Daymax, we may process:

  • Alarm settings, labels, schedules, and mission history
  • Photos you take or submit for wake-up missions
  • App usage, screen interaction, crash, diagnostic, and performance information
  • Anonymous analytics identifiers, such as an app install or device-level analytics ID
  • Support messages you send to us

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create, schedule, and manage alarms
  • Verify wake-up mission completion
  • Improve app reliability and performance
  • Troubleshoot errors and crashes
  • Understand how people use Daymax and which features are most helpful
  • Respond to support requests
  • Maintain app security and prevent misuse

Photo mission verification may be automated or AI-assisted and may be inaccurate or unavailable.

Photos and AI Processing

When you take or submit a mission photo, the photo and related mission information may be sent to Daymax servers and/or third-party AI service providers to verify whether the mission is complete.

Do not upload photos containing private, sensitive, confidential, illegal, or highly personal information, or photos of other people without their consent.

We do not use submitted mission photos to identify people or for targeted advertising.

Analytics and Session Replay

We use PostHog to understand app usage, improve Daymax, troubleshoot issues, and evaluate product performance. PostHog may create an anonymous analytics profile tied to your app install or device so we can understand repeat usage, sessions, and feature behavior over time.

Analytics events may include actions such as opening screens, creating alarms, starting or completing missions, changing settings, and viewing guides. We do not use PostHog to identify you by name or email, and Daymax does not currently require accounts.

We may also use PostHog session replay, which records screen interactions such as taps, navigation, scrolling, visible app screens, device and app metadata, and related diagnostic information. Depending on what is visible in the app, session replay may include mission photos, alarm details, and other on-screen content.

We may also use Meta app events and, where permitted, advertiser tracking tools to understand app usage and improve advertising.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party service providers for:

  • Mission photo and AI processing
  • Cloud hosting
  • Payment, paywall, and subscription access tools, including Apple and Superwall
  • Analytics and session replay, including PostHog
  • Crash reporting
  • Email and support

These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide, maintain, secure, or improve Daymax.

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use submitted photos for targeted advertising.

Payments and Subscriptions

Daymax may offer paid subscriptions through Apple in-app purchase. Apple processes subscription payments. We do not receive your full card number, Apple ID payment credentials, or other complete payment account details.

We may use Superwall to show paywalls, manage subscription access, and support purchase restoration.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Daymax, troubleshoot issues, maintain security, improve the app, or comply with legal obligations.

Mission photos and verification results may be retained where needed for app functionality, troubleshooting, security, or service improvement.

Analytics and session replay data may be retained by PostHog and used by us for product analytics, troubleshooting, and app improvement, subject to our PostHog project retention settings and access controls.

You can delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data.

You may request deletion of information associated with your use of Daymax by contacting matty.hempstead@gmail.com. We may need enough information to locate the relevant data.

Children's Privacy

Daymax is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information. However, no app, website, or internet transmission is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
